Left with no choice, Ratan Jain and Manish Gupta finally signed Aditya Seal who had made his debut as Manisha Koirala’s juvenile admirer in Ek Chhoti Si Love Story,” said our source. All was going well and Manish Gupta was scheduled to go to UK to finalise the location when he suddenly learnt the film had been shelved. “Later, Manish learnt that Ratan Jain did not want him to direct Bobby Bedi’s film Stoneman Murders, which he was also supposed to make. Manish was told that he solely concentrate on Forbidden or opt out. Manish chose to direct Bedi’s film instead of Jain’s.” said our source. Manish Gupta confirmed that he was to direct Forbidden with Mallika Sherawat in the lead. When asked if Ratan Jain had given him an ultimatum, a tactful Manish said, “I was unable to direct Forbidden because I started work on Stoneman Murders at the same time.” When asked why Forbidden was shelved, Ratan Jain said, “Is it necessary for me to tell all this? Last year, they released their second studio album Doll Domination, which included the hits When I Grow Up and I Hate This Part. Throughout their rise to fame, the group has been criticised for its overtly sexual image and explicit dance routines, but Rahman has apparently no issues working with them. John Abraham has hurt his leg badly. It was while shooting for David Dhawan’s film Hook Ya Crook that the accident
happened.
A unit member informed us that he had to slide down a 20-feet pole. But he couldn’t get it right. Unfortunately for John, he landed directly on his leg.

Rahman said, “I have been particular about prayers for the last 15 years. With success and acknowledgement my faith and conviction in the strength of prayers has only increased ten folds.”
A source close to the musician revealed, “Even when Rahman has a tedious schedule, he makes it a point to offer Namaaz five times a day, especially so after the awards. Recently, he asked a producer to hold the release event of Delhi 6 music earlier so that he could attend the Friday Namaaz.”
Rahman confirmed this and said, “It’s true that I pray from 1 pm to 3 pm, so I requested the producers to wind up the event in the morning so that I get the afternoon free.”
Clarifying his stance on religion, he said, “Religious sounds rather vulgar these days, I am more of a spiritual person. And I believe in being consistent with my spirituality. As one grows in life, one realises the magnitude of spirituality. It is the most beautiful passion. It raises you above all the negativities. For me and my music, spirituality is the most important element and I don’t think I can create the kind of music I do, if I don’t practice spirituality.”

Movie Review: Chandni Chowk to China!
The movie Chandni Chowk to China is a story of a poor guy Sidhu who lives in the Chandni Chowk of New Delhi along with his Dada Mithun Chakraborty. His fate and Ranvir Shorey who played the role of the interpreter called Chopstick, brought him to a village of China to kill the villain Hojo, which was played by Gordon Liu. Sidhu who is in fact the Akshay Kumar thought that he was reached here to become the King, but there people actually thought that he is an incarnation of a great fighter.
Mean while he met with a twin and their father, the role of twins Meow Meow (Suzy) and Sakhi are being played by Deepika Padukone. One of the major problems which I faced during the movie is that the most of the dialogues are in Chinese which caused me to concentrate on the English writing, so might be this is one of the reasons behind the headache.
I will give two out of five stars to the movie. The star caste of the movie includes Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Ranvir Shorey, Gordon Liu, and Mithun Chakraborty. The movie was directed by Nikhil Advani. Click here to download the mp3 songs of the movie.

Looks like, John and Katrina had some tough time convincing the New Yorkers about their top-notch celebrity status in Bollywood. The two B-town hotties were denied entry into a night club in New York, as the two did not carry sufficient identity proofs! Rab NeBanadi Jodi's Oscar connection
t's time for YRF to start their celebrations as Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi has had a successful run at the BO since its release last week. And if that was not enough the news is that YRF has got a call from the Oscar library requesting them for the script of ‘Rab Ne...’ for its permanent collection.
News has it that it's basically the sensitivity of the screenplay and the unusual love story that attracted the attention of the Oscar library. For the uninitiated, the scripts in the collection are kept at the famous Margaret Herrick Library and are made accessible strictly for research purposes only. It's actually the students, filmmakers, writers and actors who can avail of the script. Not just that, the screenplays may only be viewed in the library since they do not get circulated and no screenplay is allowed to be photocopied.
Critics may not have given ‘Rab Ne...’ the much expected five star ratings, but being chosen for the Oscar library is an achievement in itself! SRK will surely agree to this!
Lord 'shave' the Queen: Shilpa

Shilpa Shetty it seems has agreed to sport a bald pate for a film titled Desire. The project is an Indo-Chinese venture that’s being directed by Malyali film director R Sarad. Shilpa will reportedly star Shilpa opposite Chinese actor Xia Yu. Shooting for the film kicks off soon in Kerala. Although nothing concerning her looks has been revealed, speculations are rife that the actress may just go all the way and shave her head. What Shilpa has made it clear is that it’s going to be her most challenging role yet.

Back in Srinagar to shoot for 'Lamhaa', Bipasha Basu says that she’s not going to risk her life for a film. This is what the dusky beauty says
about the issue.
“Too much was made out of the whole thing (when Bips left the schedule in Srinagar earlier). Lamhaa is a difficult film. There was bound to be ups and downs. The producer and director knew why I left. A certain amount of security was promised. The first seven days were absolute chaos – nothing was organised and there was a lack of security,” she said.
“Yes, my work is my life. But then, I’ve a life beyond work. I’m not going to risk my life unnecessarily for any film. Who comes to hold your hand when you’re in pain? Let’s be optimistic,” she added.
She said, “This time, hopefully, we’ll shoot without any trouble. Let’s be sensible about it. Lamhaa is a sensible film and it would be difficult for audiences to follow (the language and behaviour of the local Kashmiri girls, which she’d planned to learn earlier). At the end of the day, we’re making a commercial film.”

“Too much was made out of the whole thing (when Bips left the schedule in Srinagar earlier). Lamhaa is a difficult film. There was bound to be ups and downs. The producer and director knew why I left. A certain amount of security was promised. The first seven days were absolute chaos – nothing was organised and there was a lack of security,” she said.
“Yes, my work is my life. But then, I’ve a life beyond work. I’m not going to risk my life unnecessarily for any film. Who comes to hold your hand when you’re in pain? Let’s be optimistic,” she added.
She said, “This time, hopefully, we’ll shoot without any trouble. Let’s be sensible about it. Lamhaa is a sensible film and it would be difficult for audiences to follow (the language and behaviour of the local Kashmiri girls, which she’d planned to learn earlier). At the end of the day, we’re making a commercial film.”

Kareena plays diva...again
Kareena Kapoor has refused to perform with Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone and Bipasha Basu at an awards function to be held
The organisers were taken by surprise when they learnt that Kareena had opted out of the show at the last minute. They have been running the promos of the show with Kareena and the other four actresses. Kareena informed the organisers about her decision last evening. The act in question was the finale of the awards ceremony. Our source said, “The organisers had planned back-to-back performances with Kareena, Katrina, Priyanka, Deepika and Bipasha. Kareena, who has done many more films than the other four, who are performing in the finale did not want to be clubbed with them. She wants to do bigger, better and exclusive stuff.” Our source added, “As a policy, Kareena has decided not to perform at weddings and New Year bashes and she had made this public too. As for this particular function, she was in two minds for some time but later decided to stick to her decision.” Director of the show, Mohammed Morani of Cineyug said, “Kareena is out from the function. To garner opening collections as big as Rs 7 crores which is almost four times the biggest opening for any Bollywood film is an achievement in itself. Add to it the film has collected a worldwide gross of Rs 200 crores in just 2 weeks which clearly slots Ghajini in the list of all time blockbusters. No wonder Ghajini happens to be the first film to celebrate its second success party. In times of global recession when films are not even in a position to celebrate a single success party, this Aamir Khan film just goes one step ahead. With the blockbuster success of Ghajini, we speak about the other top Bollywood blockbusters of all time.
Mughal-e-Azam – 14 years in the making This historical indeed created history in ways more than one. The film was in making for as long as 14 years but despite that never lost its sheen when released in 1960. The production values were grand with magnanimous war scenes and royal sets. Mughal-e-Azam happens to be one of the few films that lived up to its hype. Word is that the current booking never opened for weeks since tickets were sold in advance. Cine-goers used to queue outside Bombay's Maratha Mandir theatre for weeks to catch this majestic movie. At times when film budgets would never hit the million mark, Mughal-E-Azam was made at a huge budget of Rs 1.5 crores and went on to collect much more. Sholay – 6 years uninterrupted run The name Sholay is synonymous with super-success. Almost anybody and everybody who has little knowledge about Bollywood would know the film Sholay and its success story. Ironically this blockbuster didn't get a big opening when released on 15 August 1975 but picked up soon and then there was no looking back. The dialogues of Sholay are still fresh in audience mind and so are the characters from the hero to even the villain's sidekick. The film ran for 4 uninterrupted years in Mumbai's Minerva theatre and continued for 2 more years in the matinee show. Hum Aapke Hai Kaun...! – released only with 4 prints It took a couple of decades for any film to come close to being a blockbuster success. Like Sholay, Hum Aapke Hai Kaun wasn't a huge opener since the film released only with 4 prints across Mumbai. But this is one of those rare films that picked up with positive word of mouth and whole families thronged to theatres with the comeback of the family drama. | There are going to be 32 Sardars in the film, all seen in one frame, not even Akshay’s Singh Is Kingg was so daring! These 32 Sardars are all members of one big joint family in Punjab. Among them is Dara Singh, the Godfather of Bollywood’s Sardars, and son Vindu. Vindu spoke to BT, “After I completed shooting with Akshay for Kambakt Ishq, he asked me to keep myself free in 2009 for this film. He also wants dad to be part of it. My dad has retired but he can’t say no to Akshay who had obliged him by doing one of our Punjabi films.” Nikhil Advani and Mukesh Talreja, who made Chandni Chowk to China, are producing Patiala House. Confirming the news, Nikhil said, “It goes on the floors this year.” And, if you are wondering which of Akshay’s fave ladies — Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor or Deepika Padukone — will be opposite him in this film, then here’s another little bit of news that BT’s got.
